Beat the Heat 5K/10K/Fun Run 2024

Posted on by Kimberlee

We had a blast at our Run Fundraiser on June 22nd!

We hosted our first annual 5K/10K/Fun Run this summer to raise funds to continue our mission and provide hope one shower at a time. We used water blasters and water balloons as a physical representation of what it means during the hot Augusta summer to be refreshed by cool water. We hope that this gave our supporters an idea of what it means to our guests to receive a shower during the stifling summer months. Our kids had fun with a bounce house, 1K fun run, and a balloon toss. Everyone got to enjoy food and cool drinks from Funnel Cake Lounge, Food Thyme, and Kona Ice. We plan to see everyone next year for more water, food, and fun!
