Shop for Showers 2025

After our Hurricane Helene hiatus, our 2025 vendors and sponsors came together to pull off another successful Shop for Showers last month!

During the aftermath of Hurricane Helene we felt that it was in the best interest of our community and vendors that we cancel our 2024 Shop for Showers event. This was a time for us to focus on coming together as a community and providing what work we could on the ground. The Jessye Norman exhibit titled “One Year Later, scenes from Hurricane Helene” provided a moving backdrop for our Shop for Showers event this year. It further reminded us of what we have to be thankful for and of the loss that so many in our community experienced. It was with hopeful hearts that we endeavored to rebuild and provide an experience that may have been on a smaller scale than our previous year’s event but with a renewed sense of community as you’ll find in the photographs featured here.

Speaking of a community coming together we could not have hosted such an event without our wonderful sponsors. Thank you Aiken Woodworks, The Horizon Foundation, Queensborough Bank & Trust, Furman Investment Group, Gateway Grants, and Studio 3 Design.

We love supporting our local small businesses and are so thankful we had such a great turnout from vendors this year. These businesses as well as our caterer, Food Thyme, made the atmosphere fun and welcoming and provided our patrons with an escape from the stressors we’ve all been experiencing. Thank you to our patrons including those that were not able to attend but still wanted to support us! We could not provide these services without each one of you. We will see you next year to continue helping us to provide hope one shower at a time!
